They say working out of your beloved homeland is a privilege it’s an opportunity indeed, a big break.
But they don’t know that in exchange of this is a big heartbreak and challenge that need to overcome.
How can someone enjoy working with other nationality, with different culture and different environment?
Somehow we manage to do on behalf of our family and for success.
What is really the trick to enjoy working on the other side of the world?
1. Prepare yourself both mentally and physically.
Don’t ever dare to step out on your home when you’re not yet ready to face either the sunshine or the rain.
Whichever is waiting for you down the hill you better be ready to accept and use it to step up?
2. Make friend
It doesn’t matter if you are an introvert or extrovert, well extrovert may well cope-up because there social life is way more active than introvert.
However, introvert has there on way of making friends also.
Both don’t need to hit the clubs all the time just to build a group of friends.
Start with your flat mates then your co workers; you will never know they will be the one to introduce you to the rest of the gang.
“A man who wants to have friend must show himself friendly”
Reminder: Be mindful in choosing a friend.
3. Smile often
Who would be happy to be with someone who doesn’t know how to smile?
Smile always bring joy to others, it’s a contagious disease they say.
Then be generous enough to share your smile ☺ to your colleagues.
“Give to other’s what you want others to give unto you”.
4.Don’t mix up personal and work problem
Make sure to leave your personal problem out of the office; don’t make your life be an open book with your colleague.
Don’t let it be the reason to crush the quality of your work.
On the other hand once you leave your desk leave your work problem as well.
Forget the pressure and don’t let the 8 hours of stress be extended until you went to bed.
5. Don’t Gossip
Yes, gossiping is really a crime. No question no explanation just avoid gossip.
Treat other’s well not threat them. If you want to gain respect learn how to respect first.
Not because your salary is higher than them nor you’re the superior doesn’t mean you have the right to discriminate or humiliate a person.
Make a way to control your emotions and anger when your stress or in pressure, don’t divert you’re rage to your colleague.
But sometimes we can’t avoid such situation if so, remember to make the first move to reconcile or make things right with your colleague.
“A gentle answer quiets anger but a harsh one stirs it up”
Whatever way you choose to make on surviving in a different country I hope you’re doing it in the right way.
Nothing is permanent in this world except “Change“.
And one more thing “what goes around comes around”
